Chrysalis is a 10-minute short film wherein a young woman, crippled with grief and trauma after the passing of her twin sister, seeks to heal herself and find closure by taking psychedelics. However, her suburban home becomes a twisted and distorted nightmare as she is without the proper medical guidance, all while trying to escape from The Butterfly.

Inspired by the book How To Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan, the film explores the idea of psychedelic trauma therapy. Over the last century, numerous studies and trials have taken place across the globe proving how successful these drugs can be when used with guidance and medical support. However, trials and services such as these are few and far between, which begs the question, 'What happens when we decide to take matters into our own hands?' Chrysalis aims to entertain through its psychological thriller form whilst also breaking down the stigma around psychedelic drugs and how useful they can be for healing inner trauma.

Set to be released in 2024.
