Costume

Throughout my time in the industry, I have utilised a variety of skills and techniques to produce high quality costumes and character constructions. I pride myself on working close with the writing and directorial teams to curate imagery that resonates with them and portrays their vision in the best way possible.
I have developed skills such as sewing, welding, painting and many more to bring extravagant costumes to life.
In ‘Chrysalis’ I was required to produce two sets of wings and construct a highly detailed garment for a monster character. To do this I welded a base out of metal and stretched canvas or plastic over the frame. This then required painting and other details such as lace application, beading and applying iridescent to bring the structures to life. The wings were light weight, flexible and aligned with the films aesthetic and overall vision.
In previous projects I have sewn and hand painted garments to truly capture what is asked of me.
I also have experience in make up and body paint to further develop desired costumes.
